About Me
My My Space is at http://www.myspace.com/ivo...
Most of this is directly copied from there, in case you're wondering...
Well, hello. My name's Tania, or Ivory Isis whenever I'm online, as I am at the moment. I'm unique, artsy, and I love Ancient Egypt, Art Nouveau art, the 1950s, and tons of other stuff. I'm extremely changeable in many different ways, and I am always willing to try something new or different. I'm one thing for sure, and that's real. I'm not trying to fit into a group, I'm trying to fit into me. I don't really care about trends or what's cool, I just care about what I like. I'm a Scorpio with a Pisces/Aries cusp moon & Capricorn rising, and basically that means I'm a conglomerate of those signs, and it fits me to a tee!
I'm originally from the Lake of the Ozarks area, and I lived in a little town there called Eldon until I was 22, after which I moved to Columbia to attend MU (where I met my boyfriend John), and then on to North Kansas City for two years. I have lived in Lee's Summit since the beginning of October and I don't know many people here yet. I worked at Petco in North Kansas City for a year and a half, only to be informed that I was going to be allowed to go on vacation, but when I came back I didn't have a job - you'd think a company would be more loyal to their employees than that, but my GM was insane, so there ya go - by the way, don't shop there, haha. I now work at Target in Lee's Summit on the sales floor and let me tell ya, I like it, but go figure, I've always loved Target! I have one guinea pig, Esmerelda, who is a very nice big boned lady, and two kitties, Greymalkin, who is a Russian blue, very affectionate lil boy, & Rosie, who is a sassy, cute, and cuddly tortie girl. I also have a red betta, Tigi, a snail, Ted, and two upside down catfish, one named Fish Stick & another named Transient, because he lurks under my little bridge in my aquarium. :)
I think I'm well-known for being the "quiet one". It takes me a little while to get used to people, I have to scope them out first. I'm shy, but once you get to know me, I'm pretty open. I was known as "Ghost" in school, partially because of my pale skin, partially because I was pretty quiet. I talk more now, and I'm both silly and sensitive. I'm a good friend, and I try to get along with people. I care a lot about the people I share myself with, and I will put myself out there for other people if need be.
I try to see things from other people's perspectives. I'm generally very open-minded. I'm also fairly tolerant (only adding in some mild cussing, etc) of people who seem to have no brain whatsoever, even though they irritate the crap out of me.
I consider myself to be an intensely spiritual person, but I am not very religious. I believe that my purpose is to spread love and joy to as many people as I can, and if I can help anyone, I generally try to. Therefore, I consider love and kindness my religion, and my friends are my followers. ;) I have studied Pagan religions, Taoism, and Kemetic Orthodoxy (reorganized religion of Ancient Egypt) and I find all of those very interesting, as well as Buddhism. My favorite gods and goddesses include Kwan Yin, Baphomet, Isis, Tara, Ma'at, Oshun, Thoth, and Anubis.

Well I just started this site because my friend Angie (StormyBear on here) told me about it and we're both looking for friends in and around the Lee's Summit area.
I moved to Lee's Summit back in October and I don't really know a lot of people around here, and I'm a pretty sociable person so it's getting rather annoying. :p
My My Space is more interesting so if you have it, you might want to add me on there, too. (I really don't mind, I promise ;] ) It's at http://www.myspace.com/ivoryisis
I used to spend way too much time on My Space but my boyfriend has my computer now and it's not like I can really afford internet access at the moment, so if you send me any messages thru either, it might take me a lil bit to respond, just so ya know!!
I'm been Pagan since I was 16. I was originally interested in Wicca, which my Mom got me into, but then I branched off and became more interested in ceremonial magick, alchemy, Egyptian magick and religion, and other bits and pieces of prettymuch anything I find to be true in my heart that makes good sense to me. I find Buddhism to be very interesting and right now I'm reading 'The Dharma Bums' by Jack Kerouac and I'm finding it very inspiring. Angie and I have a meditation room and I think it would be a great hang out spot for any new friends.
I'm very openminded and I don't mind if you have different ideas and beliefs than me. I am just looking for people that are as accepting of my own beliefs as I am of theirs, that want to grow and have fun in life.
Anyhow if you're interested in talking, eventually hanging out, or anything like that in particular, let me know!!
